More famous than Don Pedi?

As you know we have posted on our blog a few videos links on YouTube of our group playing in various jams and instructional videos.  You may or may not be aware that each day Google and YouTube (Google owns YouTube) shows links to random videos (and they have millions of them) on their main sites. Friday YouTube?/Google featured a video, Camp Town Races, from our blog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-JbHOKLKWs . Yesterday this video had over 350,000 hits and today it’s over 540,000 hits (wish I had a dollar for every hit). Who knows what it will go up to? If it had not been for being randomly featured on Google/YouTube we probably wouldn’t have gotten that many hits in 100 years at the rate we were going. Besides being viewed in the USA we’ve been seen by folk all over the world to include Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Peru. As a result, those of you who were on the original DVD that this particular video was taken from back in 2008 are now famous worldwide. It’s kind of like being on the Grand Ole Opry isn’t it.

Getting over 540,000 hits got me to wondering how Don Pedi’s YouTube videos are doing so I looked and he’s running a bit over 1,000 hits on most of his videos… Sorry Don. We’ll still let you play with us!

(Update 6 June: we’ve had over 813,903 hits so far)
